I continued to live in New York for the next eight years and eventually decided to move back to my hometown to open my own business. I never would have imagined that I would return to New York City as the mayor, but that’s exactly where I am now.
How Did You Feel About The Move?
My move was a breeze. I was up bright and early and had my belongings packed and loaded in no time flat. I was so excited to get started on my new life. I was also a little scared. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. But I was determined to make the best of it.
So far, so good. The new place is great. It’s in a great neighborhood and the people around here are so friendly. I’ve already made some great connections and I’m excited to see what comes next.
What Was Your Biggest Challenge During The Move?
Interestingly enough, my biggest challenge wasn’t actually moving- it was actually getting my house in order and packing up all my belongings in just a few weeks’ time. I had to quickly take inventory of my belongings, purge what wasn’t essential, and make sure I had enough storage space for everything.
The other challenge was actually getting my new place set up. I had to switch over all my utilities, arrange for new furniture and DVD’s, and get used to a new schedule and environment. But in the end, the move was a breeze and I’m happy to be in my new place!
